Painting Jobs in Ardmore, OK

Join the most-recognized painting company in South Central Oklahoma — full-time work, real benefits, and a crew that respects what you bring to the trade.

A Painting Career That Looks Different

Most painting jobs in this region come with the same trade-offs. Inconsistent hours. No benefits. Day-rate pay with no growth path. Crews built around whoever was available that morning. You've probably worked at a company like that.

Derheim Painting was structured to be the alternative. Full-time, year-round work — not seasonal hours that disappear in January. Real benefits, not promises. A defined growth path from helper to lead painter to project manager. Crews that work together long enough to actually become teams.

If you've been looking for a painting job that treats the work — and the people doing it — like a profession instead of a temporary gig, this page is for you.

What Makes Working Here Worth Considering

The five-year track record matters. So does the day-to-day reality of the job.

Year-Round Full-Time Work

No layoffs in the slow months. The pipeline is consistent — you're not wondering if January means no hours.

Benefits Package

Paid time off and additional benefits for full-time staff depending on role. Specifics reviewed at offer stage.

Competitive Pay & Raises

Pay based on skill, experience, and contribution — with raises tied to performance, not seniority alone.

Training & Certification

Lead Paint Certified training and other certifications at the company's expense for the right candidates.

Consistent Crew Assignments

You don't work with strangers every day. The crew you start a project with is the crew you finish it with.

Real Growth Path

Helpers move up to painters. Painters to lead painters. Lead painters to project manager track. Promotion comes from within.

Company Culture and Values

Derheim Painting was founded on a few principles that show up in how the company actually operates — not on a poster in the break room. The work has to be right. Not "good enough" right — right enough that we'd show it to our own families. The customer is the boss on every job, and the crew is the company. Without painters who respect the trade and show up to do the work right, the company is just a logo. We invest in the people doing the work because the crew is the product.

Local matters here in a way that goes beyond marketing. Ardmore is where the team's families live, where we run into our customers, and where we give back through Paint It Forward and community work no other painter in this area does. Honest communication runs through all of it — with customers, with each other, with vendors. No vague promises, no mid-project surprises, no telling someone what they want to hear instead of what's true.

Our Hiring Process

Clear, respectful of your time, and designed to figure out if there's a real fit before anyone commits.

1. Apply Online or by Phone

Submit through the form on this page or call (580) 749-9827 during business hours. Tell us which role you're applying for, your relevant experience, and the best way to reach you.

2. Application Review

A team member reviews every application personally. We're not running your resume through a filter — someone reads it and decides whether to move forward within a few business days.

3. Initial Phone Conversation

A 15-to-30-minute call covering your background, what you're looking for, and what we offer. Most candidates and companies figure out whether there's a real fit here before anyone spends more time on the process.

4. In-Person Interview

If the phone call goes well, we'll schedule an in-person interview at our Ardmore office. You'll meet with at least one company leader. Some roles include a hands-on skills demonstration so we can see the work, not just talk about it.

About Derheim Painting & Home Improvement

Derheim Painting & Home Improvement was founded in March 2020 by Konrad Derheim. Konrad spent a decade in the San Francisco painting industry, learning a finish-work standard rooted in one of the most demanding residential markets in the country. When he moved his family to Ardmore, he brought that standard with him — and started a painting company in a town he was new to.

Five years later, Derheim Painting has earned BBB A+ accreditation, won Best of the Best Home Contractor in Ardmore for 2025, completed the Love County courthouse repaint in Marietta, been featured on the front page of the local paper three separate times, and grown to support a full crew of project managers, painters, and skilled tradespeople.

Building a Painting Career in Ardmore

Most painting careers in this region don't have a clear path. You start as a helper, work for a few different painters over the years, and either burn out, switch trades, or start your own shaky one-person operation.

Derheim Painting was built to give painters a different option — a career inside a real company with a real growth path. Ardmore is our hometown. The crew we're building is rooted here. The community we serve is the same community where the team's families live.

You're not building a stranger's company — you're building something in your own backyard.

Pay varies by role and experience. Helpers start at a competitive entry-level rate. Painters and lead painters earn higher hourly rates based on skill and experience.
